My Story
I fell in love with this continent, and I never really recovered.
Wanderlust Society exists for two reasons. The practical one is that after 25 years in this industry, I was tired of spending my best work making other companies successful. The real reason underneath that is simpler. Africa isn't just where I happen to work. It's a continent worth celebrating properly, and I wanted a business built around actually doing that.

Wanderlust Society
The Art of Travel
The swallow isn't a random choice. It's one of the few creatures that actually lives the connection between Europe and Africa, migrating between the two every single year, and for centuries it has carried the meaning of wanderlust and safe return in travel and maritime tradition. It felt like the only honest mark for a business built entirely around that continent and that pull.
Founder
Twenty-five years in, and I still get the same rush.
I've spent twenty-five years in travel, and I still feel the same thrill booking someone's first safari that I did on day one. The last four of those years were spent immersed in luxury Africa itineraries at Unearth Experience, where my mentor Rory Loader taught me to actually see this continent instead of just selling it. That is where my love of Africa travel really took hold, and it has never let go since.
I'm the person who knows which room to request at which camp, which routes actually work logistically, and which properties are all marketing and no substance. If you want an honest answer to whether a trip is actually worth it, I'm who you ask.
Why Africa
A continent worth celebrating
I want to show off my country, South Africa, and the wider continent she is part of, in all her glory. Not the flattened postcard version. The real one. The light, the people, the wildlife, and the places still standing because someone chose to protect them.
That is why I build itineraries around camps and reserves that actually give back. Places that channel real revenue into community projects and wildlife conservation, and not just marketing copy about it. When you travel with me, your trip isn't only memorable for you. It is also contributing, in a small but real way, to the people and wildlife that make this continent worth protecting.
Why Wanderlust Society
Because trips like these deserve better than a template.
I've watched too many good trips get flattened into a generic package. The same three camps, the same rushed itinerary, the same copy paste enthusiasm. Wanderlust Society exists to do the opposite. I slow down, ask the right questions, and build something that actually fits the people going, on a continent I happen to think deserves that kind of care.
Let's plan something worth talking about.
